When I met Julie, I met someone who was starting a project and working hard chasing a dream. Julie believed that we could use our current service delivery models to support folks in a new, person-centered, whole-person approach and that could only be done collaboratively. Julie encouraged others to believe in this collaboration and so we did. I have seen people’s lives change in the ways they had been working towards for years, after engaging in the Bookends Therapy™ model that Julie supports folks within. I have been a part of many teams who have relied on the supports of Julie’s consultation to be able to move forward. Julie’s ability to organize and deliver trainings in a way that every person in the room can understand, is appreciated by many. I am grateful to have met Julie early on in my career.

Her appetite for stronger, better services is unmet and never-quenched, and her wealth of knowledge is a direct reflection. This practice offers transparency and autonomy among teams, while ensuring the individual is steering the ship; with supports and clinician alike fine-tuning the sails. Julie’s trainings, supervision, and consultation have offered great benefit to me over the last 5 years, and has helped to craft the clinician I am today.

I had the distinct privilege of being supervised by Julie as I worked on obtaining my LICSW. Julie was just incredible providing support, guidance as we worked through the complex clinical and ethical issues I faced during those years. She was flexible with me when I needed grace, and helped hold me accountable for growing my skills as a social worker.
